Whelan Capital Management

We are pleased to announce that J. Bradley Miller has joined our team. He brings 25 years experience to Encinal Capital Group, LLC (ECG).

	H. Gabe Whelan
	Mr. Whelan has more than 30 years of professional direct investment experience in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. In his role as an investment advisor, Mr. Whelan has spent the majority of the past two decades managing separate account public and private equity positions for individual investors. Whelan Capital Management and its affiliates - Encinal Capital Group and the former Whelan & Gratny Capital Management - all found their genesis in 1990. As a principal of Whelan Capital Management and the Encinal Capital Group, Mr. Whelan will act as portfolio manager for all segregated accounts and co-manage with Brad Miller the assets held by ECG. Prior to forming his own investment advisory firm, Mr. Whelan held portfolio management positions with Morgan Stanley, Hambrecht & Quist and subsequently with Alex Brown & Sons, all in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Whelan has a BA from University of Oregon and as MBA from Santa Clara University.

	Brad Miller
	Mr. Miller has 25 years of capital markets and investment experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Miller joined Whelan Capital Management and the Encinal Capital Group to co-manage assets under ECG. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Miller spent nearly fifteen years in institutional sales, first as a Managing Director for Montgomery Securities (later acquired and renamed Banc of America Securities) and then more recently as a Senior Vice President for Friedman, Billings & Ramsey (FBR), a Washington DC-based investment banking firm, for which he helped open their San Francisco hub office. Prior to institutional sales, Mr. Miller spent ten years in investment banking, helping to establish new San Francisco-based specialized practices for EF Hutton in 1983 and for CB Commercial in 1988. Earlier in his career, Mr. Miller helped to launch Booz Allen & Hamilton's San Francisco-headquartered strategic planning group in 1978. Mr. Miller has a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from Dartmouth College.

	Adrienne Fioretti
	Ms. Fioretti acts as Chief Compliance Officer and Operations Manager. She brings to the firm over 20 years of experience in various capacities of the investment industry and is responsible for compliance, operations, portfolio accounting, and performance measurement. Prior to joining Whelan Capital Management, Ms. Fioretti was a portfolio manager with Western Capital Management and a taxable bond salesperson at Security Pacific Bank. She also worked on Citibank International's Treasury Euro-Dollar desk. Ms. Fioretti holds a BA from Pomona College in Claremont, California.

	Karin Giannini
	Ms. Giannini is the Office Manager and is responsible for the internal financial operations of the firm. She is a graduate of Sacramento State University and has 18 years of management and support experience in various industries.
